THE EQUIPMENT
I currently shoot with Canon Digital SLR's,
1-10D and 1-20D with EF 17to35mm and
EF 70to200mm zoom lenses. My film cameras
are Canon EOS1n's allowing me to use the same lenses on both formats.
These cameras are extremely versatile and make shooting on the fly
quite easy.
I use 1 GB Lexar compact flash cards to record the images. For
fine art images I prefer Raw files that allow me to work as if I had a
negative of the image whereas most event or other photography is
recorded as jpg files for
simple editing and production.
My computer is an Apple Powerbook which allows me to travel easily and
load the digital images for storage and editing. So that i can work
with photos on site and immediately
backup my work.
I print with an Epson SP2200 which can produce archival prints up
to 13x19 on many different surfaces of paper. Prints of larger sizes
are done at a Custom Lab.
When time allows I pull out my classic
Deardorff 5x7 view camera to record landscapes or fine art images.
